Mr. Boaka T. Wilson

Boaka T. Wilson was born to Momo K. Tarweh and Zoe Wilson on 15th January 1970 in Monrovia, Liberia. Mr. Wilson began his first level of education at the Open Bible Ministry in Liberia. Due to the 1989 civil war in Liberia, he fled Ivory Coast in 1990 to seek refuge. He lived there with his brother, the late Sando Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a Youth for Christ ministry member for two years and traveled to Ghana in 1992. Upon arriving in Ghana, he continued his education at the Buduburam Refugee High School while living with Didi Wright. After graduating high school, he met Ajay Quewea in 1998 while living with the late Joseph Beh. As a part of his hobbies, he was both a member of the choir at Crida Church and a player on the soccer team in Ghana. In the latter part of 1998, Mr. Wilson relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, to live the American Dream. In 2000, he obtained his Bachelor's degree. In 2002, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he started his first job. He worked there for a few months and then moved to Johnson City, Tennessee, in 2003 when his wife Ajay Wilson arrived. In June 2004, they welcomed their first daughter, Monique Wilson. At this time, Mr. Wilson also started working as a maintenance technician at Best Western Hotel in Johnson City. He stayed with the company for seven years. In 2008, they welcomed their second daughter, Natasha, and a few years later, their third and final child, Joel, was born. After Joel's birth, he relocated to Rochester, Minnesota, for eight years. He returned to Kingsport in 2021, then moved back home to Johnson City in 2022. Upon his return, he worked as a steward for Ballad Health and obtained a CNA license before his demise. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his brothers, Armah Konah Tarweh, Momo Wilson Tarweh, Sherman Gray Tarweh, and Sanso T. Wilson and sisters, Jarsee T. Tarweh and Kemah Tarweh. He is survived by his wife, Ajay Wilson; children, Monique, Natasha, and Joel; and siblings, Seth M. Tarweh, Famatta Tarweh, Hawa Tarweh, Zoe Tarweh, Jackson Wilson, Andrew Wilson, and Clark Wilson. Mr. Boaka T. Wilson was a great man who loved his family and did his best to support and be there for everyone around him. He will be greatly missed.
