Ronald McAdams

Ronald Leon McAdams age 73 affectionately called Ronnie, peacefully entered into rest after a brief illness on June 7, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. surrounded by his loving family members. He was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and attended with his Culberson grandparents. Ronnie was educated in the Johnson City school system attending Dunbar Elementary School and graduating Langston High School in 1964. He was also a member of the Langston Golden Tigers basketball team. After graduating from high school, Ronnie enlisted in the United States Army and served 3 tours of duty in Vietnam. After returning from his military service he was employed at Klopman Mills in Johnson City and later at Lear Siegler in Morristown, TN. His hobbies included swimming, watching movies and golfing with his golf pro lifelong friend, Charles Robinson whom he considered a brother. He also had a particular interest from a young age in collecting miniature cars. His children were blessed with his humor and his dedication to them and his grandchildren called him Papaw. Ronnie was proceeded in death by his parents, Roy and Nadine Culberson McAdams and younger sister Donna Scott, grandparents Henry and Elva McAdams and Winston and Frances Culberson. His Boone Street brother, John Fletcher Birchette, III. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 42 years Yvonne Treece McAdams, daughters DeCarol Alexander, Tiffany McAdams, Angela Jackson, sons Leon McAdams, Mark, and Tyrone Littlejohn. Grandchildren Jamar Love, Sheena Jackson, Takerria Garrett, Jalen Alexander, LeAndre Jamil Littlejohn, Tamikal Quanaj Littlejohn, Lanisa Andraya Littlejohn, and beloved Maleah McAdams. Sister Lydia McAdams Bridwell(Lee), Cousin/Sister Lisa Black(Bobby), Cousin Rhonda Woolwine (Louise) and several other cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mother-in-law Marion Treece, Sister-in-law Rosalind Thompson(William), and Aunt-in-law Jeanette(Net-Net) Burnside. Due to the Covid-19 virus restrictions a private interment will be held at the Veterans Administration Cemetery Johnson City, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
